Can you help me to overcome...
Yes. Looking at the reasons why you have an eating disorder and using therapeutic techniques to help you break the cycle. Like most issues that are dealt with in therapy, a key element is a willingness to change.
Eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa often arise from the need for perfection or control or from poor self image. By engaging in counselling a therapist can help you to form more positive patterns of behaviour and change unhelpful beliefs about yourself.
I am committed to regular CPD and have undertaken further Eating Disorders training.
Life is all about our interactions with other people. If you find yourself struggling to connect with others or to cope with a difficult relationship, be that a romantic relationship issue, a problem with a work colleague or a family member or difficulty in making friends, then I can help you to look at the underlying causes and to make positive changes. One-to-one therapy can be very useful as the psychotherapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client explores and reflects issues that occur outside of counselling in "real life." Alternatively, I occasionally run Confidence Support Groups (see the link on the navigation menu) so please contact me if you think they might help with your particular issue.
Yes. This is a problem for so many people, and with a combination of various therapies such as counselling, NLP and hypnotherapy, you can learn more about why you lack confidence and perhaps more importantly, change how you feel about yourself. It really is well within your reach to be the confident person you want to be. With a little bit more confidence, just think what you could achieve and how great you could feel!
Why not contact me to discuss how one-to-one therapy sessions could help with your self esteem or confidence issues?
Anger is a totally normal and usually healthy human emotion. However when there are deep-rooted, underlying causes for anger or an inability to express it healthily, it can cause problems. By addressing the reasons behind extreme anger, aggression or violence with a non-judgmental counsellor, you can learn to manage your anger in a positive way.
Yes. I am trained in Critical Incident Debrief for the treatment of PTSD.
