background of counsellor, nlp practitioner and hypnotherapist Nathalie Bearryman

I have a Post-Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Derby, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Hypno-Psychotherapy from the Contemporary College of Therapeutic Studies.  I also hold the Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner Certificate and attend Continuous Professional Development workshops such as counselling for eating disorders, sexual abuse including dissociative disorders, and domestic abuse.

I treat each client as an individual and as such my approach will vary from client to client.  There are many different therapeutic approaches and as everyone is different, so I believe that there is no such thing as "one size fits all."  I am trained in diverse approaches and sessions are therefore tailored to you and your individual needs.

Importantly, I ensure that I always practise ethically, empathically, and in confidence.  I am a member (MBACP) of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy known usually as the BACP (membership no. 675635).  Members are bound by the BACP’s Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, the Ethical Guidelines for Researching Counselling and Psychotherapy (where practitioners undertake research) and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure for the time being in force.

I am also a registered member of the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR reg. no. 3794) which ensures that I comply with their ethical guidelines, and is regulated by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council.  To join the GHR a therapist must prove that they have met the vigorous requirements for training and ongoing commitment to Continued Professional Development, as well as to satisfy the criteria and guidelines for safe and ethical practice.
