Those who have been abused often struggle to come to terms with what has happened to them and to feel positive about relationships or other areas of their life. Sometimes this may involve exploring painful memories, but this will only be at your pace and you will not be forced to "relive" anything that you do not feel ready to look at. The ethos towards counselling for abuse at Mind's Eye Therapy is one of empathy and understanding. Counselling and Psychotherapy can help you to regain confidence and positivity and to look forward to a healthy, happy future.
As well as my work in private practice here in Birmingham, I also work for two charities, the Rape and Sexual Violence Project (RSVP) in Birmingham and the Pathway Project in Staffordshire (Pathway), working with survivors of domestic abuse and sexual abuse and rape.
